Down in the depths of the ocean are massive, slow moving waves that are never seen from above. Hundreds of feet tall and spanning miles, these waves are so colossal that they completely alter the watery worlds below, but they are revealed only by the tiniest ripples on the surface above.
Humans are like that too.
Sometimes what looks like simply standing in place is actually an act of defiance so powerful that entire worlds are realigning.
A casual lean whilst castles are crumbling beneath the surface.
A simple laugh the only indication that monsters have been forced to scatter and flee.
Standing still as every nerve and neuron is firing.
Taking a few steps when all hope is yet asleep.
Sometimes worlds can be evolving right before our eyes, but all we see is a tiny ripple – a tear, a smile, a step, or a sigh.
Sometimes the biggest moments happen in the deep, miles and years before their true impact can ever be seen.
And sometimes, if you’re really lucky, you’ll meet someone who notices those little ripples and knows what they mean.
If you ever find that person, keep them.
